This vignette contains the inside scoop on what Pilates is all about and how it tones your body. If you want to get a strong core and challenge yourself with some intense Pilates workouts, you’ll want to take advantage of these subtle secrets.
You see, people I know have tried boring workouts and followed the herd to the gym, ending up disappointed and frustrated, year after year. Looks the same as it did last year. But luckily some have jumped into Pilates to rehabilitate a knee or a herniated disc in the lower back, and some of these people have transformed their bodies in a major way!
Pilates seems to be commonly practiced by women, simple planks “Core Lifts” and emphasizing the body in a positive way can greatly strengthen your inner muscles.
Pilates is the hidden secret to developing a strong core, and I don’t mean lying on the floor and going on hundreds and hundreds of crunches. You won’t even tap the striking surface of the deep transverse abs (the deepest layer of the core) by doing this.
You’ll end up with a taut low back and very tight quadriceps, it’s all proportional and the body works as a unit, so careful attention to what you’re doing to strengthen the core will directly affect the rest of your body.
Pilates targets the complex muscles that support and protect the lower back, spine, pelvis, and hips. Gives the body a strong, well-proportioned, and robust look and feel.
Not to mention they shave years off your life!
Unfortunately, I often see a lot of people bleed on the back of their neck and thrust their hips forward trying to get a deep crunch, and it just makes me cringe. They’ll no doubt wake up the next day with a stiff neck, a low back that’s too tight, and flabby hip flexors. Over time this can develop into persistent injuries and limited movement.
Pilates exercises help avoid a weak core, which can lead to a sore lower back, tight flexors and poor flexibility in the hips.
Your core is the foundation and when the foundation lacks strength and stability, everything around it will collapse. Professional Baseball Athletes, Cross Fit Coaches, MMA Fighters, and hundreds of men and women over the years have done Pilates to give them the edge!
Pilates uses body gravity as resistance to strengthen and tone without undue stress on the joints. It’s a challenging, intense workout style that’s the missing link to getting a deep workout.
And that’s what Pilates won’t do…it won’t gain muscle mass, it won’t put undue stress on your joints, it won’t reduce your range of motion by limiting your movements and it won’t make your body stiff and immobile. But Pilates will help the body avoid injuries and balance the body in a very positive way.
What if someone could bench 225 lbs. Or do 50 consecutive pull-ups without stopping. You will be surprised, Pilates works the whole body in a way that will show any weakness, and you can perform it in Personal training technique/form In order to use your core muscles as much as possible as this will help transform and sculpt your body. Thank you.
