Description

The Goodman SSZ160601 is a condenser with both heating and cooling capabilities for a split system installation. This outdoor component needs to be connected with an indoor air handler or evaporator coil to create a complete air conditioning system. This allows for many options for personalizing an HVAC system, which can be altered depending on desired energy-efficiency, cost, installation type and number of cooling and heating zones.

This model with heat pump is capable of 16 SEER and 9.6 HSPF ratings when paired with the correct components. Specific ratings will depend in the indoor air handler or furnace used. This Goodman condenser features a 5 ton heating and cooling capacity at 60,000 BTU. It's usually recommended that the tonnage of the outdoor condenser be less than the indoor unit.

The SSZ16 line of split system air conditioners uses a single-speed, high-efficiency Copeland UltraTech scroll compressor. Cooling is created with the environmentally friendly R-410A chlorine-free refrigerant. This Goodman condenser is reliably constructed and protected by a heavy-gauge galvanized-steel cabinet with a baked on powder paint finish. It also uses SmartShift technology to ensure reliable defrosting in the coldest months. Goodman has also packaged this heat pump to have the following factory-installed components:

Description

A specially formulated super-hydrophobic (water repelling) product in a convenient aerosol package for field service. The non-conductive formula has numerous applications in the management of water on non-food, non-potable water surfaces for the HVAC/R trade; surfaces that are not exposed to ongoing abrasion (hand and foot traffic).

• Slows ice formation on refrigeration coils/cold plates

Directions

This product must be used in accordance to the following directions by HVACR professionals only.

1. Disconnect all power to the equipment before use. Do not spray near sparks, heat or open flame. Discontinue the use of power tools during use. Do not smoke while applying product.
2. Shake well before use. Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Keep area ventilated until fumes are gone. Avoid breathing of fumes during application.
3. Ensure surface is clean and mostly to fully dry before applying. After a coil cleaning, the surface needs to be blown dry with an inert gas to remove excess moisture from the surface before applying Nu-Shield.
4. From a distance of 6-12 inches, spray a light coat on the surface, but no more beyond it being visibly wet. In other words, ‘Wet It and Forget It’. Contents in the canister will cover approximately 100 square feet. Depending on ambient conditions, allow a minimum of 20 minutes for Nu-Shield to dry on surface. Ensure surface appears visually dry and fumes are gone from the area before turning on power to equipment.

Note: Product needs to be applied after each coil cleaning. For best results, especially in corrosive environments, the product should be reapplied annually.

We can ship overnight or by Second Day Air. But beacuse these are air conditioners and the package weighs more than 90 pounds usually, shipping overnight can result in the package being mishandled and delivered damaged.
