INVERTER-driven compressor systems use only the exact amount of energy needed to cool or heat an area. So you can save energy and money while enjoying complete control over your comfort year-round.
Zone control is one of the main technological benefits our systems offer, enabling you to control the temperature within any space that has an indoor unit installed. The ability to condition the spaces in use and not keep unoccupied spaces conditioned allows exceptional energy conservation. Individualized comfort control is available from one to eight rooms connected to a single outdoor unit.
Standard and enhanced filtration systems provide air filtration that utilizes washable filters that can last up to 10 years; this feature is good both for you and the environment. Hybrid Catechin and blue-enzyme filters contained in each indoor unit remove allergens; each room has its own filter, therefore preventing cross contamination of air from room to room. Select systems incorporate an additional Platinum Catalyst filter for additional odor elimination.
Hot-Start™ technology regulates the fan on the indoor unit so that it does not blow any air until the unit has reached the desired temperature, thus preventing drafts of cold air.
i-see™ Sensor scans the lower portions of the room to detect hot or cold spots and to adjust temperature and airflow accordingly to maintain consistent comfort.
H2i® technology, available on select systems, provides heating capability effectively and efficiently even when temperatures outside fall as low as -13º F. This technology provides heat in extreme climates either to supplement existing systems or to serve as the main system in a new addition.

The tried and true, smart technology behind the Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating systems of today has evolved from our introduction in the 1950s. Our technology allows energy efficient, individual comfort control with minimal impact on your home since we offer both ductless and limited length ducted solutions.
The technology behind Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating systems is referred to in many different ways, including mini-split, multi-split, split-ductless, split-zoning, and variable refrigerant flow. Mitsubishi Electric split-zoning technology is the primary method for conditioning spaces in homes and commercial building around the world. That is why Mitsubishi Electric introduced this technology into North America over thirty years ago.
Split-zoning systems allow each room (or space) using an individual indoor air-handler to be controlled independently from other rooms, thus providing individualized comfort control within each room of a home.
Controlling your comfort is easy. Just use the smart remote controller to get your perfect temperature with the touch of a button. Adjust your mode of operation between COOL, HEAT, DRY or AUTO. AUTO mode will automatically decide if you need cooling or heating delivered to the space to maintain the set temperature. You can even adjust fan speed and the direction of the vane (on applicable units.) Everything you need to control your comfort is right there in your room with you; not in another room or a different floor. Comfort control - room by room.
Our INVERTER-driven compressor in the outdoor unit maximizes efficiency by automatically changing its speed to match the cooling and heating needs of a room. This technology allows us to ramp up compressor speed to quickly cool or heat a room (or multiple rooms) and reduce the compressor speed to maintain the ideal comfort level, while using less energy. This innovative system differs from conventional systems, which start and stop repetitively causing temperature variations and wasting energy.

Mitsubishi Electric Mr. Slim® Split Air-conditioner and Heat-pump Systems
LIMITED WARRANTY
MEUS warrants as follows to the original owner of this Mr. Slim product that, if purchased from and installed by a contractor licensed for HVAC installation under applicable local and state laws within the continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii, should it prove defective by reason of defects arising from improper workmanship and/or material:
A. FIVE YEAR ON PARTS. The parts are warranted for a period of five (5) years to the original end-user of this System. If it should prove defective due to improper workmanship and/or material for a period of five (5) years from the date of installation, MEUS will replace any defective part without charge for the part. Replacement parts are warranted for the remainder of the original 5-year warranty period. Parts used for replacement may be of like kind and quality and may be new or remanufactured. Defective parts must be made available to MEUS in exchange for the replacement part and become the property of MEUS.
B. ADDITIONAL TWO-YEAR COMPRESSOR WARRANTY. The compressor is warranted for a total period of seven (7) years to the original end-user of this System. If it should prove defective due to improper workmanship and/or material for a period of seven (7) years from the date of installation, MEUS will replace any defective compressor without charge for the compressor. Replacement compressors are warranted for the remainder of this warranty period. Compressors used for replacement may be of like kind and quality and may be new or remanufactured. Defective compressors must be made available to MEUS in exchange for the replacement compressor and become the property of MEUS.
C. NO LABOR. THESE LIMITED WARRANTIES DO NOT INCLUDE LABOR or any other costs incurred for service, maintenance, repair, removing, replacing, installing, complying with local building and electric codes, shipping or handling, or replacement of the System, compressors or any other parts. For items that are designed to be maintained or replaced by the owner, the owner is solely responsible for all labor and other costs of maintaining, installing, replacing, disconnecting or dismantling the System and parts (such as filters or belts) in connection with owner-required maintenance. Air filter cleaning and/or replacement for each applicable indoor unit are owner-required maintenance, and labor for this procedure is not covered under warranty. Please consult the applicable technical documentation for air filter cleaning and other maintenance procedures.
D. Proper Installation. This Limited Warranty applies only to Systems that are installed by contractors who are licensed for HVAC installation under applicable local and state law, and who install the Systems in accordance with (i) all applicable building codes and permits; (ii) MEUS’s installation and operation instructions; and (iii) good trade practices.
BEFORE REQUESTING SERVICE, please review the applicable technical documentation to insure proper installation and correct customer control adjustment for the System. If the problem persists, please arrange for warranty service.
1. TO OBTAIN WARRANTY PARTS SERVICE:
(a) Contact the licensed contractor who installed the System or the nearest licensed contractor, dealer or distributor (whose name and address may be obtained on our website at www.mehvac.com) of any defect within the applicable warranty time period.
(b) Proof of the installation date by a licensed contractor is required when requesting warranty service. Present the sales receipt, building permit or other document which establishes proof and date of installation. Otherwise, this Limited Warranty shall be deemed to begin one hundred twenty (120) days after the date of manufacture stamped on the System. THE RETURN OF THE OWNER REGISTRATION CARD IS NOT A CONDITION OF COVERAGE UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. However, please return the Owner Registration Card so that MEUS can contact you if a question of safety arises.
(c) This Limited Warranty applies only while the System remains at the site of the original installation and only to locations within the continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii.
2. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER: property damages, malfunction or failure of the System, or personal injury caused by or resulting from: (a) accident, abuse, negligence or misuse; (b) operating the System in a corrosive or wet environment containing chlorine, fluorine or any other hazardous chemicals; (c) installation, alteration, repair or service by anyone other than a licensed contractor or other than pursuant to the manufacturer’s instructions; (d) improper matching of System components; (e) improper sizing of the System; (f) improper or deferred maintenance contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions; (g) physical abuse to or misuse of the System (including failure to perform any maintenance as described in the Operation Manual such as air filter cleaning, or any System damaged by excessive physical or electrical stress); (h) Systems that have had a serial number or any part thereof altered, defaced or removed; (i) System used in any manner contrary to the Revised July 2009
Operation Manual; (j) freight damage; or (k) damage caused by force majeure or other factors such as power surge damage caused by lightning and fluctuations in or interruptions of electrical power.
3. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY ALSO EXCLUDES: (a) SERVICE CALLS WHERE NO DEFECT IN THE SYSTEM COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS FOUND; (b) System installation or set-ups; (c) adjustments of user controls; or (d) Systems purchased or installed outside the continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii. Consult the operating instructions for information regarding user controls.
4. This Limited Warranty shall not be enlarged, extended or affected by, and no obligation or liability shall arise or grow out of, MEUS providing, directly or indirectly, any technical advice, information and/or service to Owner in connection with the System.
5. EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, MEUS MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER REGARDING THE SYSTEM. MEUS DISCLAIMS AND EXCLUDES ALL WARRANTIES NOT EXPRESSLY PROVIDED HEREIN AND ALL REMEDIES WHICH, BUT FOR THIS PROVISION, MIGHT ARISE BY IMPLICATION OR OPERATION OF LAW, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND OF FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. NO ONE IS AUTHORIZED TO CHANGE THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IN ANY RESPECT OR TO CREATE ANY OTHER OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY FOR MEUS IN CONNECTION WITH THE SYSTEM. MEUS DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY FOR THE ACTS, OMISSIONS AND CONDUCT OF ALL THIRD PARTIES (including, without limitation, the installing contractor) IN CONNECTION WITH OR RELATED TO THE SYSTEM.
6. What size unit is good for my application? How to choose the right AC?
Keep a pen and paper next to you and write down answers to below questions first. Then move to step 2.
A. First question is how many air handlers (indoor units) would you need?
Answer to this comes from the number of rooms you want to cool or heat. Remember since this is ductless, you will need ONE air handler per room. But if your kitchen, dinning area and living room are all connected and open to each other, in that case you will need just ONE for this entire area. But if your dinning room has walls around it with only a door size opening from the kitchen, in that case you may want to put ONE in kitchen and ONE in dinning room.
B. Are the rooms well insulated? If not we will call it "Situation B"
C. How many windows you have in each room? Are these energy efficient windows? (single pane or double pane windows). If you have 2-3 windows in one room and they are single pane windows that are not energy efficient, we will call it a "Situation C"
D. Then you need to know the height of your ceiling. Is it a regular ceiling or more than 10 ft high? If it has a high ceiling of 15 or 20 ft, we will call it is "Situation D"

Now once you have decided how many units you need, it is time to see what features you want. Low Ambience Feature
For example if you live in New York where the temperature goes below 15 deg quiet a few times in a year and if you need this AC unit to do the heating job as well in the winter time, in that case DO NOT buy the standard SEER 13 without Low Ambience. You need the unit that has Low Ambience operation as they can produce heat in temperature as low as minus 4 deg or zero deg depending upon which unit you end up buying. YMGI/LG/Friedrich/Haier for example have units that produce heat in temperature as low as zero deg.
HIGH SEER AND INVERTER FEATURE
Units with high SEER and inverter techonlogy save you a lot of money on electricity bills. As much as $50 per month approx. So if you have a high SEER unit with Inverter which is $300 - $400 more than the standard unit with SEER 13, you still will be better off buying the expensive one, as after 6-8 months savings are all yours plus such units are lot more advanced with many other good features.

The inverter tag found on some air conditioners signifies the ability of the unit to continuously regulate its thermal power flow.
Traditional reverse-cycle air-conditioners use a heat pump that is either working at maximum capability or switched off, as the compressor's speed cannot be varied. In order to regulate temperature a thermistor is used to measure the ambient air temperature and switch the compressor on when the ambient air temperature is too far from the desired temperature.
Air-conditioners bearing the inverter tag use a variable-frequency drive to control the speed of the motor and thus the compressor. The variable-frequency drive uses a rectifier to convert the incoming AC current to DC and then uses pulse-width modulation of the DC current within an inverter to produce AC current of a desired frequency. The AC current is used to drive a brushless motor or an induction motor. As the speed of a brushless motor is synchronised to the frequency of the AC current, it is thus possible to build a compressor that can be run at different speeds. Similarly, the voltage and frequency can be varied as needed to efficiently run an induction motor at different speeds. A microcontroller can then sample the current ambient air temperature and adjust the speed of the compressor appropriately.
Eliminating stop-start cycles increases efficiency, extends the life of components, and helps eliminate sharp fluctuations in the load the air-conditioner places on the power supply.
The inverter principle has been applied to a wide range of household appliances including microwave ovens, washing machines, and so on.

What is HSPF?
HSPF is the abbreviation for the Heating Seasonal Performance Factor. This factor rates the efficient operation of the heating portion of the heat pump. As the HSPF increases, the unit functions at a more efficient level. New units in the United States have HSPF ratings from 7.0 to 9.4.

What is a Heat Pump and How Does It Work?
A Heat Pump is an electrical device that takes heat from one place and transfers it to another. A heat pump transfers heat by circulating environmentally friendly refrigerant through a cycle of evaporation and condensation. A compressor then pumps the refrigerant between two heat exchange coils. In one coil the refrigerant is evaporated at low pressure and absorbs the heat from the surroundings. The refrigerant is then compressed on the way to the other coil where it condenses at high pressure. Now the heat pump releases the heat it absorbed earlier in the cycle. This process is reversible for the summer months and the heat pump acts as a cooling system.

The SEER rating is similar to gas mileage on a car. The higher the SEER rating the more efficient it is. Most of today's heat pumps have a SEER rating between 13.0 and 19.0 SEER. When the heat pump heats the home, a Heating Seasonal Performance Factor or HSPF rates the efficiency. The HSPF rating works the same way as the SEER rating does. The higher the HSPF, the more efficient the system is. Most new units today have a HSPF rating between 7.7 to 9.0 HSPF.
How does an air conditioner work?
An air conditioner seems as if it cools your home's air, but it actually makes your home less warm by removing heat from the indoor air and transferring that heat to the outdoor air. Heat is extracted from the home by passing indoor air across a refrigerant coil in the indoor unit. Refrigerant lines then carry the heat to the outdoor unit, where it is released into the outside air. The cooling cycle continues until the indoor temperature reaches the thermostat setting.
What does SEER mean?
Season Energy Efficiency Ratio. It is a system for rating the efficiency of air conditioning equipment. SEER is calculated by dividing the cooling capacity in BTU/H, of a continuously operating air conditioner, by the electric power input, or watts, of power consumed. The higher the SEER, the less the unit should cost to operate.
What is R-410A?
R-410A is a hydro fluorocarbon (HFC), which is an environmentally friendly refrigerant that is considered by most to be the likely replacement for R-22.
What is Freon/R-22?
Hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC), known as R-22 has been used as a refrigerant for more than 40 years by HVAC manufacturers. While HCFC's are considered safe for the environment they do contain chlorine which is classed as an ozone-depleting chemical. The Clean Air Act set a target date of January 1, 2010 after which HVAC manufacturers can no longer build products that use R-22. Manufacturers of refrigerants will still be allowed to produce R-22 until January 1, 2020 after which time only recovery and recycling will provide R-22 for servicing older installed systems.
Is The Refrigerant Used In A Heat Pump Safe For The Environment?
Both Carrier and Lennox heat pumps use envronmentally friendly R-410A refrigerant. This refrigerant does not deplete the ozone layer and is seen as the logical replacement for Freon R-22. Carrier beat the competition by six years and introduced Puron refrigerant or R-410A. Use of R-410A adds to the efficiency and realiability of a heat pump.
Are there any good reasons for replacing my existing system if it is still functioning?
You should consider replacing your system if it is old, and therefore less efficient or if it will probably need major repairs in the near future. New systems can be 60% more efficient than systems built only 10 years ago. Normal wear and tear can reduce the efficiency of your system. Another costly season of utility bills or paying for an expensive failed part can go a long way toward the cost of a new system.
How do I know what to buy?

What else might be needed if I replace my old system?
Beside the installation of new equipment, other items need to be inspected and possibly replaced, such as, thermostat, ducts, refrigerant piping, electrical service, wiring, condensate piping, insulation, flue piping and terminations, chimney liner, slabs, filter, registers, grills, drain pans and evaporator coil.
How often should I change or clean my filters?
Dirty filters should be replaced to prevent equipment from working harder, resulting in energy waste and possibly causing damage to your unit. Filters should generally be replaced every month when the system is running. Filters should be replaced with the same kind and size as your original filter. If the filter is not disposable, follow the manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning it.
Should I cover my outdoor unit in the winter?
Covering the unit is not necessary. Air conditioners are built to withstand a wide range of climate changes. Rain even helps keep your unit clean. Since heat pumps run all year long, they should not be covered.

Delivery Acceptance Terms:

DEFECTIVE EXCHANGE
If unit (any product) is defective, depending upon the brand you buy, it will be taken care of by manufacturer warranty. Usually they will send out the replacement part within 24 hours, if replacing part is not a solution, they would probably replace the whole unit if the product was found defective. Replacement will only be made with the same model, if customer decides to upgrade or downgrade to a different model, we'll treat it as a return and a new order.
* All returns should be in original packaging and in brand new condition. Installed products are not considered brand new and cannot be returned.
* All damaged returns and replacements must be requested within 24 hours after the receipt of the product. *
Before shipping the product back, you should request an RA# (Return Authorization number), without an RA# your package will not be accepted, will be refused and sent back by the warehouse.

For all returns, customer is responsible to ship product back to our warehouse at their own expense; restocking fee of 19% will apply regardless if defective and original shipping fee (from $69 to $189 depending upon the product you purchased) will not be refunded as it is paid to the trucking company's and they are non-refundable.

If you placed the order and you wanted to cancel the order BEFORE IT IS SHIPPED, we will gladly cancel your order and $15.99 cancellation fee will be charged and 3% credit card processing charges will not be refunded.
